New Browe Combat Optic with 300 AAC Blackout reticle

Browe Inc. is adding new fixed-power 4x32mm Browe Combat Optic (BCO) powered sights to their lineup of BCOs. These new sights are made expressly for rifles chambered in 300 AAC Blackout. Other models of BCO are designed with various reticles for use with 5.56 and 7.62 NATO.

The 300 BLK reticle has a bullet drop compensator that has been calibrated on one side for supersonic ammunition and on the other for subsonic loads. The reticle is either very complete or completely optimistic as it has marks out to 900 meters for supersonic ammo and about 450 for subsonic.

At the middle of the optic is a horseshoe-type lit reticle, with a single 1 moa dot at the very center. Browe gives you the option of having a red, amber, green or blue light-up portion of the reticle. It is click-adjustable in .5 MOA clicks.

Other options available for the new 300 AAC Blackout-reticled BCO are external and somewhat aesthetic. You can get this reticle BCO with your choice of flat dark earth, A-TACS camo and black.

Apart from the new caliber-specific reticle, the new BCOs differ little from the older models, which is a good thing. The optics use an internally-adjusted prism for precision and clarity. The reticle can be adjusted manually for brightness, with 10 day and three night power settings, or set to automatically and continually adjust the reticle brightness based on data from the target sensor.

The optic also has a vibration sensor with two vibration sensor modes that automatically cut power to the crosshairs if motion goes undetected for either two hours or three seconds. The BCO has an average run time of 2,000 hours, or about 11 weeks on a single lithium 123A battery.

The construction of these optics is hard to beat. They have a titanium housing and are nitrogen-purged to make them fogproof. Still, they manage to stay lightweight and compact, at just 17 ounces.

Every Browe Combat Optic comes with a Lenspen cleaning tool, Surefire lithium 3v battery, manual, Pelican storage case, and your choice of mount. The BCO can use one of two quick-detach mounts. If you want one it goes to prove you have good taste. With an ARMS 17 QD mount, the package runs $1,395 and with a LaRue LT270 QD mount $1,425. They have a lifetime warranty and are made in Madison Heights, Mich.

While these are made for operators who operate operationally, they make fine accessories for any 300 BLK rifle, whether you’re a 300 BLK enthusiast or in law enforcement. One nice thing about 300 BLK is that it has similar external ballistics whether its fired from a carbine or an SBR, and as such, this scope will work with pretty much any 300 AAC Blackout rifle.
