One-time reality TV star and founder of Red Jacket Firearms Will Hayden was given an additional life sentence last week in connection with a rape conviction.

WAFB reports that Hayden entered a plea of no contest Wednesday to rape charges in Livingston Parish and received his third life sentence, as well as 10 years for aggravated incest.

This comes on top of two other life sentences plus 40 years he was given on two counts of aggravated rape and one count of forcible rape in East Baton Rouge Parish in May.

“We thought that this was the best resolution to this to protect the victims from having to endure any additional trauma by having to come and testify in court once again,” said Assistant District Attorney David Guidry. “But yet it satisfy our obligation to the public for public safety to make sure that this defendant stays in jail for the rest of his life.”

The sentencing follows reports that first emerged in August 2014 that had the reality TV star and gunsmith booked on child molestation charges.

The series of allegations and arrests led Red Jacket to cut ties to Hayden and the Discovery Channel to cancel the once-popular show due to public outcry. The 65th episode of Sons of Guns, the end of five seasons, aired May 16, 2014, prior to Hayden’s initial arrest.

Jail records show that Hayden is assigned to the Louisiana State Penitentiary.
