SIG Sauer's P320 is an innovative modular handgun that uses a chassis system, making it easily customizable. It’s one of the most common models on the handgun market, and it has become one of the most popular choices for law enforcement agencies.

Here is a set of law enforcement trade-in P320s chambered in .45 ACP. These handguns feature a compact slide and frame and feed from nine-round magazines.

Chambering

Law enforcement agencies often choose compact handguns due to their versatility, but it is less common to see LE trade-ins chambered in .45 ACP. The .40 S&W cartridge dominated most of the late ’90s and 2000s following its development in response to the 1986 Miami-Dade FBI shootout

But in more recent years, the .40 S&W has found itself on the way out as 9mm has returned to the throne as the standard law enforcement cartridge. Seeing a .45 ACP may be unusual in the modern era, but it does not detract from the cartridge's power and track record.

Features

As is typical with most trade-in firearms, there is wear on the grip module from holster wear and duty use. However, unlike most handgun models, the grip is easily and inexpensively replaced thanks to the removable fire control unit.

The handgun features night sights, a standard upgrade for most law enforcement contracts. That said, the tritium is burned out, and they are not as bright as they used to be. These handguns come in a hard case and include two nine-round, flush-fitting magazines

Conclusion

The P320 is a great handgun, and in this configuration, it makes for a great concealed carry firearm. Police trade-ins have a lot of life left in them and are great for training and personal defense. Not to mention you can get more ammo for the range with the money you saved by buying used.
