Colt has some sweet additions to its snake gun series for 2025, including a .45 Colt-chambered Anaconda and several more Blued Pythons in .357 Magnum. We got an up-close look at these new wheel guns at NRAAM in Atlanta.

Anaconda in .45 Colt

Colt produced the original Anaconda line from 1990-2003, then reintroduced an updated .44 Magnum model in 2021. Now, Colt is offering this stainless-steel six-shooter in a choice of a 4.25, 6, or 8-inch barrel, all with rubber overmolded Hogue grips and a red ramp front sight and adjustable target rear. They’re also drilled and tapped for mounting optics, for you handgun hunters.

The .45 Colt models are advertised as offering a more controlled shooting experience with reduced recoil compared to the .44 Magnum version, for “the perfect balance of power and precision.”

MSRP on all three models is $1,699, and they’re shipping now.

Blued Python Models

The classy-looking Blued Python lineup now includes several more barrel lengths.

The 8-inch piece is certainly imposing, and you can see the character that the blued finish adds even under the shadowy NRAAM lighting.

The 4.25 and 6-inch variants of the iconic Colt Python revolver in .357 Magnum were already available with a Blued finish as of last year, but Colt has upped the ante for 2025 with several more models. There’s a 2.5-inch barreled model with classic panel grips, and 3, 5, and 8-inch options with walnut grips, all bearing the signature gold rampant Colt medallion.

The new Blued Python models retail for $1,699, the same as the existing lineup.
