Tennessee-based Tisas has released an updated and more recoil-friendly variant of its PX-9 polymer-framed striker-fired pistol.

The company debuted the third-generation PX-9 Tactical in 2022, and, after evaluation, we found it to be an entry-level handgun with the features you wouldn't expect. Using easy-to-find SIG P226-pattern double-stack mags, it had a decent 4.5-pound flat-faced trigger and a factory micro red-dot slide cut in a Trijicon RMR/SRO pattern.

The new PX-9 2.0 Duty Comp builds on that legacy, keeping the same mag pattern and optics cut but adds an improved aluminum trigger and a single-port, compensated slide and barrel designed to reduce muzzle rise while delivering a flatter shooting experience. That means faster follow-up shots.

The barrel length on the new Tisas PX-9 2.0 Comp is 4.11 inches, giving the pistol a G19-ish 7.27-inch overall length. Weight is 28 ounces. It ships with one 18+1 and one 20+1 round extended magazine. (Photos: Tisas)
The PX-9 2.0 Comp has a QPQ finish on the barrel and slide, along with nickel-coated internal components for increased corrosion resistance.

"The PX-9 has been such a success for Tisas, that we wanted to take it to another level with the 2.0 Duty Comp version," said Chris DiCenso, CEO of SDS Arms, which imports the brand from Turkey. "From shooting it on the competition line, or carrying it when on duty, this firearm is remarkable."

The Tisas PX-9 2.0 Comp ships with two magazines in a hard case for an MSRP of $522.99.

Tisas made sure to get some T&E pistols in the hands of assorted gun tubers, and Beyond Seclusion, Graham Baates, and Mr. Big Kid have recently uploaded reviews.
