With gobbler seasons starting for some hunters and others anxiously awaiting their state’s opener, now is a fine time to consider snagging a brand-new shotgun. From single shots to pumps, repeaters to O/Us, there are plenty of young guns purpose-built for the hardcore turkey hunter.

For the sake of this list, all firearms included are new to either late 2025 or early 2026. Every one is either a dedicated turkey model variant or with features leaning heavily in the longbeard direction. Here are the new turkey guns we're keeping an eye on for 2026.

CVA Scout Spur

There’s no doubt the hottest thing in turkey hunting for 2026 is the meteoric rise of the 28 gauge, in both firearms and ammunition tailor-made for gobbler-getting. CVA jumped on board with an addition to its young break-action Scout Spur family, which previously was .410 only. The 28-gauge single shot uses a magnum 3-inch chamber for the best turkey loads.

There’s also a Picatinny optics rail, extended XX-Full choke, and compact 22-inch barrel. The Scout Spur can be had with either OD Green or Mossy Oak camouflaged furniture. This ultra-compact platform is handy in tight spaces like ground blinds and delivers lethal power with minimal recoil, especially in the 28-gauge.

Mossberg International Series

Though Mossberg didn’t debut any brand-new platforms, the company beefed up its turkey lineups with three additions to the International series. Two are semi-automatics for the repeater fans: the SA-28 Turkey, a 28 gauge with a 22-inch barrel, and the SA-410 Tactical Turkey with its tactical-style pistol grip.

The .410 is new, but hunters preferring larger bores will also find 20 and 28 gauges. Lastly, completing the move to sub-gauge stardom, Mossberg is offering its Silver Reserve Eventide family of O/U turkey guns in .410 bore. We’ve hunted successfully for several years with that same gun in 28 gauge, so baby bore fans can now join the double-gun fun. All three are fully camouflaged and sport shorter barrel lengths ideal for the turkey hunter.

Browning A5 20-Gauge

We recently spent some time with Browning’s young A5 20-gauge in walnut, and while that gun is an all-around piece, the camouflaged versions are catching the attention of gobbler-chasers. Five new 20-gauge offerings recently rolled out, and while most lean toward target shooters and waterfowlers, the 26-inch version easily pulls double duty on big toms.

It’s a 3-inch chambered humpbacked repeater with deep roots in the company’s vaunted Auto-5 recoil-driven semi-autos, now modernized with a Kinematic Drive action. Hunters can select from five interesting camouflage patterns, and each gun ships with three choke tubes and a T-wrench.

Winchester SXP Longbeard Hybrid

Here’s looking at you, slide action fans. Winchester’s pump-driven SXP shotgun lineup gets a fresh gobbler look. The Longbeard Hybrid, available in either 12 or 20 gauge, sports a pistol-grip stock with LOP spacers, along with interchangeable comb height inserts. Per its name, a Long Beard extended choke tube comes standard.

There are fiber-optic sights, an alloy receiver drilled and tapped for optics bases, and a fast, inertia-assisted pump operation. For National Wild Turkey Federation members and fans, there’s even a special NWTF variant of the Longbeard pump with Mossy Oak Bottomland camo and a matched camo ring on the end of the choke tube.

Benelli SBE3 Upgrades

Benelli’s Super Black Eagle lineup, now in its third iteration, has been revered by waterfowl hunters for years. Now, the company’s SBE3 turkey repeaters are putting gobblers on notice, especially with some new additions. The SBE3 AI makes use of the company’s Advanced Impact high-performance barrel system.

Partner that with Patriot Brown Cerakote metalwork against camo stocks for an attractive and fast repeater. The SBE3 AI is hot in any gauge but is now offered in both 20 and 28. In turkey-specific newbies, the SBE3 is launching a 24-inch barreled, fully camouflaged 20-gauge, while all the gauges – including magnum 28-gauges – continue to be offered with the 26-inch barrel.

Weatherby Sorix Turkey

Weatherby’s Sorix series of Turkish-built, inertia-driven semi-automatics hit the market several years ago, but new for 2026 is a gobbler-specific variant. The Sorix Turkey comes dressed in Mossy Oak Original Bottomland, a 24-inch barrel, and Patriot Brown Cerakote metalwork. A set of five choke tubes come standard, but the star of the show is the Extra Full Turkey tube.

Hunters have a choice of a 3.5-inch chambered 12 gauge or a 20 gauge with the 3-inch chamber. Unique features include a flip-up rear sight integrated into the ventilated rib and Weatherby’s Shift System, allowing for a quick swap of the charging handle and safety for lefties.

Final Thoughts

Shotgun manufacturers continue innovating, and it’s clear they have gobbler hunters in mind given the booming contingent of camo-clad, shorter-barreled beard baggers. Whether you’re sticking with an old standby turkey gun or eyeing something fresh from our list, we strive to keep you in the loop and we wish you a memorable and successful season.
