The FN Belgium Browning Full 12 Special Steel is a classic example of Browning's legendary craftsmanship and engineering. This 12 gauge shotgun is known for its durability, reliable performance, and elegant design, making it a sought-after piece for collectors and shooting enthusiasts alike. Manufactured in Belgium, this Browning shotgun reflects the high standards of quality associated with FN (Fabrique Nationale) firearms.

Condition: Minor loss of finish on barrel forward of the fore-grip and magazine tube.  (Most likely from removal of foregrip and magazine tube.)  Wood furniture shows minor scratches and dents consistent with normal usage.

History:
The Browning Auto-5, commonly referred to as the "Humpback" due to its distinctive receiver shape, was designed by John Moses Browning and was the first successful semi-automatic shotgun. Production of the Browning Auto-5 began in 1902, and it became one of the most popular semi-automatic shotguns of the 20th century. FN Herstal, located in Belgium, manufactured these shotguns under Browning's supervision, ensuring high standards of quality and precision.

The "Special Steel" designation refers to the high-grade steel used in the barrel, which was designed to handle a variety of shotgun loads, including the then-new smokeless powder shells. This made the shotgun both versatile and durable, capable of being used in a wide range of shooting activities from hunting to competitive shooting.
