This 1968 Colt Python is a prime example of why early-production Pythons remain some of the most sought-after revolvers in the collector world. Featuring the classic 4-inch barrel and an elegant polished blue finish, this revolver showcases Colt’s legendary craftsmanship with deep, mirror-like bluing and finely machined lines. The polished blue finish retains excellent luster with only the lightest evidence of careful handling, consistent with a firearm that has been well cared for over the past several decades.
Mechanically, the revolver is in excellent condition. The action is smooth and tight, lockup is solid, and the timing is exactly what you expect from a Python of this era. The bore is clean, bright, and sharp, indicating very limited and responsible use. This Python also retains its original factory Colt checkered wood grips, which display attractive grain, crisp checkering, and no major wear or damage.
