The GLOCK 37 is a full-size, polymer-framed semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 GAP (Glock Automatic Pistol).
Developed to provide ballistic performance comparable to the .45 ACP but within a frame size similar to standard 9mm handguns, it was engineered for a more ergonomic grip profile for a large-bore firearm.

This was achieved by shortening the cartridge case to create the .45 GAP round, allowing the grip circumference to remain identical to that of the Glock 17. The frame includes an integrated accessory rail for mounting equipment and is designed to manage the recoil characteristics associated with larger calibers.
