Built on Ithaca's legendary pump-action platform, the Model 87 Deerslayer was purpose-built for slug hunting, offering fast handling, dependable reliability, and excellent accuracy. Featuring a 20-inch slug barrel, the Deerslayer is ideal for hunters in shotgun-only areas, with a compact profile that's easy to maneuver in dense woods and tight hunting blinds. The Model 87 retained Ithaca's signature bottom-loading, bottom-ejecting action, making it equally suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters while helping keep dirt and debris out of the action. The Model 87 was produced during a limited run in the late 1980s and early 1990s, making it a desirable variation for both hunters and Ithaca collectors.
