This Remington 870 Youth Model 20 Gauge is a compact, pump action shotgun designed for younger or smaller-framed shooters who need a lighter, easier handling firearm without sacrificing reliability. Built on the legendary Remington 870 platform, this Youth Model features a shortened length of pull and a 21” barrel which makes it quicker to shoulder and easier to maneuver in tight spaces such as wooded hunting environments or while learning proper shotgun handling. Chambered in 20 gauge with a 3” chamber, it offers noticeably less recoil than a 12 gauge while still delivering enough power for hunting small game, upland birds, turkey, and even deer with buckshot. The Youth line is known for its matte-blued finish, hardwood furniture, and rugged utilitarian design rather than high-end polish, emphasizing durability and affordability. Like other 870 models, it uses dual action bars for smooth cycling and dependable operation, contributing to the platform’s long standing reputation for reliability among hunters, sport shooters, and home defense users. This 870 is in overall excellent condition with a clean bore showing light signs of use, retains its original finish with moderate handling wear and light handling wear on its wood furniture.
