Smith & Wesson .22/32 Kit Gun Model of 1953 Pre-Model 34

Offered here is a beautifully preserved Smith & Wesson .22/32 Kit Gun Model of 1953, the highly desirable pre-Model 34 small-frame rimfire revolver that helped bridge Smith & Wesson’s classic postwar line into the model-number era. Serial number 32680 places this revolver in the early production range of the 1953-type guns, making it a particularly attractive piece for collectors who appreciate original, honest, mid-century Smith & Wesson revolvers.

This example is chambered in .22 Long Rifle and fitted with the desirable 4 inch barrel, adjustable rear sight, factory blued finish, and original wood service stocks with S&W medallions. It has the look collectors want: a classic, all-steel rimfire revolver with excellent lines, proper age, and the kind of fit and polish that made these early Smith & Wesson kit guns so respected in the field and so collectible today.

Condition is exceptionally strong for its age. The revolver retains a very attractive original appearance with light, honest handling wear and normal cylinder line evidence, but no obvious abuse or harsh refinishing. The markings remain clear, the grips present nicely, and overall it shows as a well-kept, increasingly hard-to-find early .22/32 in far better condition than most examples encountered on the market. Clean, original pre-model guns like this are getting harder to source, especially when they have not been altered, overcleaned, or dressed up into something they are not.

For the Smith & Wesson collector, the rimfire enthusiast, or the buyer who appreciates classic field revolvers, this is a very appealing opportunity to own a legitimate early Model of 1953 .22/32 Kit Gun with real age, real character, and real collector upside. It is the kind of revolver that looks right in a display, feels right in the hand, and still represents the era when Smith & Wesson was building some of the finest small-frame rimfire revolvers ever made. All used firearms are sold “as is,” with no warranties, expressed or implied.

WE SUPPORT LOCAL GUN STORES

Many online gun sales actually take away from your local community.  Instead of buying a gun that’s on your local store’s shelf, most retailers drop ship it from a warehouse in another state.  At Guns.com, if an FFL is part of our network, we sell THEIR guns first whenever possible.  That way, we’re helping small businesses in your community AND if they have it in stock, you can pick your gun up IMMEDIATELY – it’s how business should be done.

WE KEEP IT SIMPLE
WE KEEP IT SIMPLE

Most everything can be easily bought online these days.  But for some reason, buying a gun online can be complicated.  Most websites are poorly organized, don’t tell you a lot about what you’re buying, and leave you on your own to figure out what you want.  Guns.com is built to be simple – easily organized products, useful descriptions from experts, and support to guide you to the right choice.  Spend your time enjoying the gun you want, not getting frustrated with a complex website that makes gun buying hard.
