Notes:
Excellent condition vintage German-made Walther PP pocket pistol, chambered in .380 ACP (9mm Kurz). This is a classic post-war example manufactured by Carl Walther Waffenfabrik in Ulm/Do., West Germany, and imported by Interarms of Alexandria, Virginia. Serial number 40311 (matches on major components). Proof marks include the "71" date code (indicating 1971 production), Ulm antler, and Eagle/N proofs.

Caliber: .380 ACP (9mm Kurz) — reliable blowback-operated DA/SA semi-auto with exposed hammer and slide-mounted safety/decocker.
Barrel: Approx. 3.9" fixed barrel.
Grips: Original black checkered Walther grips with logo.
Sights: Fixed front blade and rear notch.
Finish: Attractive blued steel with honest wear consistent with age and light use (strong blue remaining, minor edge wear and handling marks as shown).
Markings:
Left slide: Walther banner, "Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do. Modell PP Cal.9mm kurz".
Right side: Interarms Alexandria VA import mark.
Additional proofs and serials clearly visible in photos.
Comes with the original factory Walther PP cardboard box (shows expected shelf wear and clear tape, but intact and matching the gun via the price tag referencing serial 40311). A nice bonus for collectors.
Condition:
Very good to excellent overall for a 50+ year old pistol. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Mechanics are crisp (smooth DA/SA trigger, solid lockup, functional safety/decocker). Grips are in good shape with no major cracks. Minimal pitting or heavy wear — this one was well cared for and looks great on display or as a shooter.
Background:
The Walther PP series is an iconic design — one of the first successful DA/SA semi-autos, famously carried by police, military officers, and even inspiring the James Bond PPK. Post-war Ulm-produced examples like this offer the same quality German engineering with modern import markings.
