FAB Defense officially rolled back the curtain earlier this week on the GL-Core, the latest in its series of buttstocks designed for the venerable AR-15.

SHOT Show goers were given a sneak preview of the new design in January, but the company is now officially showing off the GL-Core to the rest of the public.

Aiming to merge comfort with maneuverability on a rifle platform, the GL-Core takes specific steps to ensure that the buttstock doesn’t impede shooters. The GL-Core features an integrated cheek rest and ergonomic rubberized buttpad for better shouldering, while also capitalizing on a non-protruding design that doesn’t catch on gear, clothes or webbing. In addition, the compact GL-Core utilizes two integrated, quick detach, rear sling swivel connectors.

The GL-Core also comes equipped with an interchanging tube adapter. This adapter provides for a better fit on Mil-Spec and commercial buffer tubes.

FAB Defense says the new stock is available in three colors — matte black, olive drab green and flat dark earth – and retails for $65.30.
