Yokohama, Japan’s Devtec started off as an airsoft company but their Ronin ballistic helmet has left plastic BBs behind and is now NIJ Level 3A tested and showing up at international arms shows.

Devtac’s Wesley Shibata started making his own masks in 2004 as an airsofter when he found the masks on the market were junk. Suffering from fogged, uncomfortable masks, he began to research not only facemasks but ballistic helmets as well. Kick that forward 12 years and his fan-cooled Ronin helmet has now moved from milsim to actual military, providing protection up to .44 magnum rounds.

And here is the more official NIJ test done by NTS in Wichita, Kansas.
