'Mah Problemsolva': Yup, it's an RMR cut, suppressed and customized Hi Point C9

Under all those accessories and layers of cerakote is a Hi Point

Under all those accessories and layers of cerakote is a Hi Point

Joe Meaux, owner of Baton Rouge-based Aklys Defense and former Sons of Guns star, special ordered a Hi Point with a little extra flair.

Paired with an Aklys Defense Pilum suppressor (what else?) the 9mm zamak special from Ohio picked up a three-color cerakote finish and a number of cuts to include a flattop for a reflex sight and front cocking serrations. A Laserlyte red beam laser rests underneath. The Pilum is a full-auto can rated to handle up to .300BLK and has a retail of $500.

The basic C9 retails for $199 but often fares well in torture tests and is vehemently defended by its advocates who are no doubt arming up to comment below. Still, these budget guns have proved popular and are often modified, sometimes with sketchy results.

As for the Problemsolva reference, ask Gator.
