The best way to use a hockey puck in self-defense: 12 gauge (VIDEO)

To test perhaps the best way to use a hockey puck in a defensive situation, the shotgun crew at Taofledermaus made some custom slugs and tried them out.

The idea came as a response to headlines from Detriot-area Oakland University that the school would furnish faculty and students with 2,500 pucks to be used both in an effort to raise money for school security (more locks in more areas) and in last-ditch self-defense on the gun-free campus.

“It was just kind of a spur-of-the-moment idea that seemed to have some merit to it and it kind of caught on,” Campus Police Chief Mark Gordon told the Detriot Free Press.

We think Tao’s idea is at least more ballistic.
