Featuring a KAK Industry Shockwave 2.0 Brace and a 27-inch overall length, the new Sig Sauer M400 Tread pistol hit the market this week.

The 5.56 NATO-caliber handgun grows New Hampshire-based Sig’s Tread line which debuted last October with a series of “premium entry-level” rifles that still comes in under the sub-$800 mark.

The M400 Tread pistol is an optics ready with an 11.5inch nitride coated, cold hammer-forged barrel with 1/2x28TPI threads, and a free-floating 10.5-inch M-LOK handguard. Other features include a single-stage polished trigger and ambi surface controls.

“Right out of the box the M400 Tread pistol delivers on features and performance,” said Tom Taylor, Sig’s Chief Marketing Officer, Executive Vice President, Commercial Sales.

Weight, including a 30-round magazine, is 6-pounds. The handgun is direct impingement using a carbine-length gas system while the carbon steel barrel has a 1-in-7-inch twist. Sig also markets a wide-range of Tread-series accessories including a two-stage match trigger to replace the standard single-stage factory trigger, optics, a three-chamber compensator, and an ambi charging handle.
