HK CC9

Heckler & Koch’s new CC9 has a tagline of “Everyday Concealability, That Day Capability,” and this gun does not disappoint. The full four-finger grip and modular grip system with interchangeable backstraps means you’ll handle the recoil of this small handgun amazingly well. 

Ambidextrous controls include the slide stop and magazine release, so it’s a great choice for left-handed shooters. The Picatinny-style rail rounds out the features on the smallest double-stack produced by HK.

Kimber CDS9

Kimber’s new Covert Double Stack 9mm (CDS9) was designed to be a modern, easily carried version of a traditional 1911. Based on the Micro 1911 platform, it offers a higher capacity and improved ergonomics. The CDS9 is fully ambidextrous with a reversible magazine release. An accessory rail allows for lights or lasers. An optics-ready model compatible with all RMSc optics footprints is also available.

SIG Sauer P226 XFive Reserve

The full-sized P226 XFive Reserve by SIG Sauer is an engineering masterpiece. It features a slide-integrated expansion chamber/compensator for reduced recoil, a three-way, fully adjustable, flat-faced AX3 trigger, and suppressor-height X-RAY3 day/night sights. The alloy frame, optics-ready slide, and GridLOK grips round out the comfort and functionality on this one. It doesn’t hurt that it has a whopping 20-round mag capacity, either.

Henry Golden Boy

No, we didn’t misplace this one – it belongs in the handgun category. Henry’s Golden Boy is a 10-shot revolver with the craftsmanship and style you’ve come to love from Henry. It features beautiful wood grips available in both Gunfighter and Birdshead styles, as well as a polished blued steel receiver. The sights are a fixed notch rear cut directly into the frame, and three heights of front bladed sights allow the shooter to customize it. The quick takedown system ensures you’ll minimize your cleaning time.

SIG P320-Flux Legion

If you’re looking for something a little different, the new Flux series of Legions might fit the bill. All the standard greatness you’d expect from a P365 Legion or a P320 Legion, like an integrated expansion chamber built into the front, X-Ray3 day/night sights, optic-ready slide, etc., are all right there as expected. What the Flux system brings to the table is a rapid-deployment brace, allowing it to be shot like a rifle, an ambidextrous magazine release, and lower system with an integrated magwell.

With its 1913 rail on the front, you can add a light or other accessory. The coolest feature is the Flux magazine exchange system allows the gun to carry a spare magazine in the front, allowing for 61 rounds (two 30-round magazines and one in the chamber, where legal) to be readily accessible when in the fight. It’s something you truly have to see to believe.

CZ P-09 Nocturne

With two models (full size and compact) the P-09 Nocturne has all the key features found on the CZ P-07/09 yet innovates them further. Improved ergonomics and the ability to add an optic without a plate are just the beginning. Grips are textured in a new pattern for improved traction and security, and three interchangeable backstraps allow customization. Enhanced cocking serrations and a new slide stop make for easier racking and control. Both the de-cocker and manual safety are ambidextrous and offer improved ergonomics.

Smith & Wesson Model 327 WR

The Model 327 World Record (WR) is a double-action-only 9mm revolver that Smith & Wesson's Performance Center developed in conjunction with Jerry Miculek. It’s built to the specs that allowed Jerry to set the world record of hitting six steel plates in a lightning-fast 1.88 seconds. Yes, you read that correctly. 

The lightweight scandium frame and titanium cylinder allow for a quick draw and target acquisition, the brass bead sights will get you in focus, and the 5-inch ported barrel will get your follow-up shots back on target in a flash. This one was produced in limited quantities, so grab yours while you can still find one. You might not be as fast as Jerry with it, but keep practicing and maybe someday!

Diamondback SDR

Designed for self-defense, the Diamondback SDR (Self-Defense Revolver) combines excellent concealability, reliability, a smooth trigger pull, and six-shot capacity all within a compact revolver. The ergonomically placed and serrated textured push-button cylinder release is easy to feel and unload/reload quickly. This +P rated revolver also has low-profile front and rear fiber-optic sights.

FN SCAR 15P (.300 BLK) 

Debuting in the fourth quarter of 2024 is the FN SCAR 15P in .300 Blackout. The new Blackout has been optimized to include a gas regulator setting for both subsonic and supersonic ammunition, and flash hider. Other features include a reciprocating charging handle, monolithic receiver, ambidextrous controls and FN’s short-stroke gas piston design. There’s also a Picatinny butt plate to allow easy attachment of a pistol brace.

Springfield Armory SA-16A2

Paying homage to one of the most iconic rifles in history, the M-16A2, the Springfield SA-16A2 brings innovation and technology to a familiar package. Increased performance and accuracy start with an M16-pattern bolt carrier group, a Carpenter 158 steel bolt, and a staked gas key. The phosphate exterior and hard chrome-lined interior mean this one will last a lifetime. 

An integrated bayonet lug is located at the base of the front sight assembly. The A2-style fixed front sight tower is pinned and set up to work seamlessly with the A2-pattern rear sight assembly. This one has the look of a classic with the technology of the future.

Marlin 336 Dark in .30-30 

With its CNC-machined receiver, lever, and trigger guard plate, the Marlin 336 Dark in .30-30 is functional and built to last. With a nylon-reinforced polymer stock with M-LOK attachment slots, flush cup sockets for sling swivels, and included cheek risers for a custom fit, you’ll be shooting smoothly. 

The barrel is cold hammer-forged, and a factory-installed radial muzzle brake is standard. The bolt and lever feature a nitride finish for protection from the elements while in the field. A Picatinny rail will accommodate your accessories and a variety of optics.

Smith & Wesson M&P 15 Sport III

Smith & Wesson has been constantly improving this line of modern sporting rifles since the first M&P15 debuted back in 2006. What sets the Sport III apart from its predecessors is that its features allow for more customizing with accessories than previous generations of “15” series rifles. 

Equally at home in a recreational or professional setting, the Sport III is lightweight, versatile, and reliable. New features in the 2024 model include an A2-stye grip and stock, A2-style flash hider, full-length Picatinny rail across both the upper and forearm, and an integral trigger guard.

Barrett MRADELR

This one hits a little different (see what I did there?). Military tested, the MRADELR is an off-the-shelf extreme long-range rifle designed to deliver results typically achieved by custom-built rifles. Features include a user-changeable barrel system, allowing the shooter to change the barrel and caliber with just one tool. 

The electroless nickel-plated bolt head helps reduce wear and adds corrosion resistance. The M-LOK compatible modular upper features a continuous integral top rail. An adjustable single-stage trigger module offers tool-less removal. Additional calibers will be available in the future.

CZ 600 MDT

CZ builds on its popular 600 line with a chassis from world-renowned chassis-maker MDT. A single-stage adjustable trigger, MDT Premier vertical pistol grip, MDT SRS skeleton stock (model dependent), and axis-adjustable buttstock round out some of the features on this one. 

There’s also an effective three-point muzzle brake to reduce recoil and get your follow-up shots on target faster. The side-placed external safety doubles as a thumb rest. CZ guarantees accuracy to sub-0.75 MOA accuracy (five-shot groups at 100 meters, using match-grade factory ammo).

Christensen Arms MPR 

Any rimfire precision rifle shooters out there? The Christensen Arms Modern Precision Rifle Rimfire is one to check out. Christensen adds to its MPR line of centerfire rifles with a rimfire version for shooters who seek versatility. The MPR Rimfire debuted with a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee at 50 yards. The chassis rifle with its carbon-fiber tension barrel weighs in starting at 6.2 pounds. The rimfire is available in three variants with barrel lengths of 16, 18, and 20 inches.

Ohio Ordnance Works REAPR

This one debuted at SHOT Show 2024 but is not in full production yet, so we’ll refer to it as a concept. Ohio Ordnance Works' REAPR (Recoil Enhance Automatic Precision Rifle) is a belt-fed machine gun designed to exceed SOCOM military specs while focusing on a combination of accuracy, durability, and reliability, yet be easily maintained in the field.

It’s lightweight and portable, chambered in .338 Norma Mag. Boasting toolless field stripping and one-handed barrel changes (it will be available with a 7.62 NATO conversion kit), the system can break down into its three major components in less than 10 seconds. As a bonus, it’s small enough for backpack carry into the field.
