Great Western Arms Co. Frontier Single Action Revolver – .357 Atomic, 7.5" Barrel
This is a scarce mid-1950s Great Western Arms Company Frontier single-action revolver chambered in the uncommon .357 Atomic. The .357 Atomic was Great Western’s hot-loaded version of the .357 Magnum (essentially a high-pressure .357 Magnum load); the revolver safely fires standard .357 Magnum and .38 Special ammunition.

7½" barrel with fixed blade front sight and frame-notch rear sight
Classic single-action mechanism
Blued finish
Checkered walnut grips
Six-shot fluted cylinder
Barrel clearly roll-marked “.357 ATOMIC”
Condition notes (from photos):
The blued finish shows honest wear and thinning consistent with age and use, including scattered light scratches and handling marks on the barrel, cylinder, and frame. The walnut grips have expected wear and dings but remain solid and well-fitted. Bore appears serviceable. Overall a solid, original example of a scarce Great Western chambering from the brief period before they switched the rollmark to standard “.357 Magnum.”
No box, papers, or accessories included. No laser sight or stand.
A desirable piece for collectors of early single-action reproductions and obscure mid-century American revolver cartridges.
