REMINGTON 58 SPORTSMAN

Product Information & Specs

Seller Description For This Firearm

SHOTGUN: REMINGTON ARMS COMPANY MODEL 58 SPORTSMAN IMPORTED BY N/A, SERIAL NUMBER 222451V, BLUE, CASE NOT INCLUDED, SEMI - AUTOMATIC, 12 GAUGE, 28, MISSING MEDALLION UNDER GRIP, FIXED CHOKE

Notes:
Pre-owned Remington Sportsman 58 shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. This gun has a fixed choke barrel (modified) and accepts 2 3/4" shells. The blue finish on the barrel and receiver is in pretty good condition with some light scratches. The wood stock shows normal handling wear over most of it, however the medallion under the pistol grip is missing and has the initials JJS carved in the wood. Also, there is a very clear line where a butt stock pad would have been and the finish at the end of the stock where the pad would have been is rough. Overall, this gun is in good shape given its age. With a little love, it could be in great shape!

The Remington Sportsman 58 12-gauge is a classic semi-automatic shotgun produced between 1956 and 1963. It holds historical significance as Remington's first gas-operated shotgun, paving the way for the legendary Model 1100.

Action Type: Gas-operated semi-automatic.
Chamber: 2 ¾-inch shells only.

Capacity: 2 shells in the magazine tube + 1 in the chamber (3 rounds total). The gas operating system is housed inside the magazine tube, which physically limits its shell capacity compared to other shotguns.

"Dial-A-Matic" System: Features a manual gas selector cap on the end of the magazine tube. You twist the cap to adjust the gas ports for "L" (Light loads) or "H" (Heavy loads) to ensure reliable cycling.

Shopping at Guns.com gives you the backing of a company that is committed to your satisfaction.  And unlike our competitors, it extends beyond the buying process.  We get the FFL from your store – others make you find it, copy it, and fax it.  We have a generous return policy, and handle everything – you don’t have to go back to the store.  And our Rangemasters are here to answer all your questions about our products or process.  We're bringing a level of service to the online gun buying experience that is unheard of.

WE SUPPORT LOCAL GUN STORES

Many online gun sales actually take away from your local community.  Instead of buying a gun that’s on your local store’s shelf, most retailers drop ship it from a warehouse in another state.  At Guns.com, if an FFL is part of our network, we sell THEIR guns first whenever possible.  That way, we’re helping small businesses in your community AND if they have it in stock, you can pick your gun up IMMEDIATELY – it’s how business should be done.

WE KEEP IT SIMPLE
WE KEEP IT SIMPLE

Most everything can be easily bought online these days.  But for some reason, buying a gun online can be complicated.  Most websites are poorly organized, don’t tell you a lot about what you’re buying, and leave you on your own to figure out what you want.  Guns.com is built to be simple – easily organized products, useful descriptions from experts, and support to guide you to the right choice.  Spend your time enjoying the gun you want, not getting frustrated with a complex website that makes gun buying hard.
