This is a high-quality Sako L579 Forester (medium-length action) that has been tastefully upgraded with a premium Shilen barrel chambered in the flat-shooting, accurate .22-250 Remington cartridge.

Key Features & Markings:Receiver: Marked "L579 No. 74767" with Finnish proof marks (crown and other stamps). Classic smooth Sako bolt action known for excellent fit, finish, and reliability.
Barrel: Clearly stamped "barrel by SHILEN 22-250". Shilen barrels are renowned among precision shooters for outstanding accuracy and quality. Appears to be a sporter or medium-heavy contour, well-suited for varminting, target shooting, or predator hunting.
Optics: Equipped with a black scope (appears to be a variable power model with adjustment turrets and a sunshade/objective bell) mounted in rings. The scope complements the rifle’s classic lines.
Stock: Beautiful figured walnut with cut checkering on the grip and forend, Monte Carlo-style comb, and a black rubber recoil pad. Shows nice grain and typical light handling marks consistent with a used but well-maintained rifle.
Metal Finish: Blued receiver and barrel with good remaining finish. Bolt and hardware show normal use.
