Savage Model 212 – 12 Ga – 22” Barrel – Nikon 3-9x Scope
There are still those areas that enforce shotgun only hunting zones but, just because you’re not using a rifle doesn’t mean that you have to give up the chance to take a longer range shot. That is, you don’t have to as long as you’re using the right shotgun.
A choice that’s preferred by a lot of hunters using slug shotguns is the Savage 212. With a 22 inch rifled barrel and using sabot slugs, you can get sub-MOA accuracy at 100 yards. Add a scope (like the one on this gun) and you can still make ethical, lethal shots out to 200 yards. Not bad, right?
This model 212 in 12 Gauge will shoot either 2-3/4” or 3” shells. A detachable magazine holds 2 rounds in addition to the one that you have in the chamber. There a tang safety that’s easily reachable by both right and left-handed shooters. Serial number on our shotgun is P073608.
The stock on our shotgun is a black synthetic and a generous recoil pad absorbs a lot of recoil. The 212 also features an adjustable trigger so you can dial it in to your own preference. A picatinny rail is mounted on top of the receiver and, today, that holds a Nikon 3-9x Slug Hunter scope.
These scopes were not high end but they are pretty solid. The adjustments on windage and elevation are set for 1 click = 1/4 MOA. The BDC reticle gives you the holdover dots out to 200 yards. The glass on this one is clear and the magnification adjusts easily and smoothly. The exterior of the scop is Excellent and looks great.
The stock is in Very Good condition. There are signs of use but no signs of abuse or serious defects. The metal finish is Excellent. We found a few small spots (think pencil lead size) on the under side of the barrel, just forward of the forearm. However, there is no loss of finish there. The bore is clean, the barrel is bright and shiny.
If you have the need for a slug gun, this one is a fantastic option. Great gun, nice scope, ready to head out to the brush with you!
Purchase is for the shotgun and scope as shown. No other items are included in the sale.
This is a consignment sale and, like all of our consignments, we have not test fired this shotgun. We have performed our function checks and find no issues to report. As with all pre-owned firearm purchases, please review the photos carefully so that you are comfortable with the condition of the shotgun.

Shopping at Guns.com gives you the backing of a company that is committed to your satisfaction. And unlike our competitors, it extends beyond the buying process. We get the FFL from your store – others make you find it, copy it, and fax it. We have a generous return policy, and handle everything – you don’t have to go back to the store. And our Rangemasters are here to answer all your questions about our products or process. We're bringing a level of service to the online gun buying experience that is unheard of.
Many online gun sales actually take away from your local community. Instead of buying a gun that’s on your local store’s shelf, most retailers drop ship it from a warehouse in another state. At Guns.com, if an FFL is part of our network, we sell THEIR guns first whenever possible. That way, we’re helping small businesses in your community AND if they have it in stock, you can pick your gun up IMMEDIATELY – it’s how business should be done.
Most everything can be easily bought online these days. But for some reason, buying a gun online can be complicated. Most websites are poorly organized, don’t tell you a lot about what you’re buying, and leave you on your own to figure out what you want. Guns.com is built to be simple – easily organized products, useful descriptions from experts, and support to guide you to the right choice. Spend your time enjoying the gun you want, not getting frustrated with a complex website that makes gun buying hard.
