The firearms name may have quickly faded, but the Remington ammunition brand is stronger than ever. Now part of TKG (The Kinetic Group) and owned by Czech holdings company CSG, Remington zips into 2025 fully charged.

At SHOT Show 2025, the company had six brand-new product lines and six more updates to existing products – totaling an even dozen reasons to be excited. Here's the rundown.

.22 Short

Good things do indeed come in small packages. It seems the smallest rimfire rounds are often forgotten by ammo manufacturers, so it’s nice to see Remington reintroducing .22 Short

The new .22 Short line will offer two load choices: a 27-grain hollow point or 29-grain round nose. Shorts are notoriously mild, quiet shooters. The 50-round boxes retail for $7.99.

Core-Lokt Tipped Lever Gun

Core-Lokt has been around for decades, Core-Lokt Tipped has been here a few years, but Core-Lokt Tipped Lever Gun is a newbie. Given the absolute boom of lever actions, those owners will welcome more ammunition tailored specifically to their cowboy-style rifles.

A new lever gun round, the Core-Lokt Tipped Lever Gun, will launch with six cartridge options.

Core-Lokt Tipped Lever Gun will initially be available in six cartridge options, each dressed in a forgiving green polymer-tipped bullet friendly for tubular magazines. Chamberings cover a mix of new, old, and straight wall: .360 Buckhammer 180-grain, .30-30 Win 150-grain, .35 Rem 200-grain, .45-70 Gov’t 300-grain, .444 Marlin 240-grain, .32 Win Spl 170-grain. The 20-round boxes will retail from $39.99 to $93.99, depending on the chambering.

Duck Club Steel

This is an interesting product debut. As the number of specialty shots and products designed around them grows, so do the prices. Let’s face it: not all hunters are springing for tungsten. With Remington’s new Duck Club Steel, however, the company aims to mate reliability with affordability.

Modeled after the company’s Sportsman Steel lineup, these shotshells are designed for all types of waterfowl, using different lengths, payloads, and shot sizes. The high-velocity steel loads can be had in both 12 and 20 gauge. Shot sizes include BB, 2, 3, and 4, with 25-round boxes retailing from just $22.99.

Performance WheelGun .22 LR

Heretofore, Performance WheelGun has centered on the major centerfire players in the revolver chambering game. New for 2025 is Remington’s rimfire-specific Performance WheelGun .22 LR.

A .22 LR option joins the company's Performace WheelGun lineup.

The young round uses a 28-grain truncated cone bullet. Somehow, the company advertises that the new LR Performance Wheelgun is designed for lower noise but still optimal performance. Performance WheelGun 22 comes in 100-round clear packs with an MSRP of $14.99.

Standard V

Another rimfire offering, this one intended for the most economical plinking of any on this list. Shooting high volume and don’t want to break the piggy bank? Standard V looks to be the answer. Standard V is a .22 LR load that propels a 38-grain lead round-nose bullet. It’s said to use “revamped primer mixes” for reliability. Advertised muzzle velocity is 1,080 fps, and the 550-round bricks retail for $41.99.

Premier Royal Flush

The new Royal Flush is designed for upland hunting and offers seven configurations in 12, 16 and 20 gauge.

Not surprisingly given the “flushing” name, this shotshell is built for upland hunters. It comprises seven different 12-, 16-, and 20-gauge offerings and is available in multiple shell lengths, payloads, and shot sizes. The pheasant on the box ought to beware, as these shells use a Magnum-grade payload for maximum knockdown power. Shot sizes include 4, 5, or 6 with shell lengths in 2.75 or 3 inches. Boxes of 25 shells will retail from $34.99 to $38.99.

But Wait, There’s More!

New product lines aside, Remington continues expanding existing families of both centerfire metallic cartridges and hunting shotshells. Additions will be made to Core Lokt, Core Lokt Tipped, and Nitro-Steel Duplex.

Core Lokt: Adds 400 Legend 210-grain / MSRP $39.99 and .300 Ham’r 125-grain / MSRP $31.99

Core Lokt Tipped: Adds .300 RUM 180-grain / MSRP $100.99

Duck hunters will be glad to hear the Nitro-Steel Duplex line now offers 12 gauge as well as expanded 20-gauge options for 2025.

Nitro-Steel Duplex:

  • Adds 12 gauge / BBx2 / 1,450 fps / 3” / $42.99
  • 20 gauge / 2x4 shot/1400 fps / 3” / $39.99
  • 20 gauge / 2x6 / 1,400 fps / 3” / 39.99
  • 20 gauge / 4x6 / 1,400 fps / 3” / $39.99

Final Thoughts

Hunting, handgunning, shotgunning, and rimfire plinking hit front and center this year. Remington green is the color of ammunition for SHOT Show 2025 (and the color of money). Remington’s new offerings helped make the booth one of the most active at SHOT Show, sharing space with fellow TKG brands Federal, HEVI Shot, Speer, and CCI.
