While at the recent SHOT Show in Las Vegas, we were able to sit down and get an interview with Ashley Hlebinsky, who is heading up an initiative to help teachers deliver historically grounded content on the Second Amendment.

The initiative is funded by a two-year, $908,991 federal grant to the Firearms Research Center in the University of Wyoming’s College of Law, where Hlebinsky works as the FRC's Executive Director. If she looks familiar, we have visited with her numerous times at the Cody Museum over the years, where she was the longtime curator.

Here's some time stamps if you want to skip ahead:

00:15 A familiar face
02:20  "We were really surprised we got the grant."
03:40 A four-pronged approach to the resources
07:10 Curriculum will be widely available, including o private and home schools.
08:40 Explaining the timeline from now through 2027 and beyond
09:40 Keeping the FRC about firearms research across the board
11:20 Finding silenced scholars and supporting them

We would like to thank Ms. Hlebinsky for her time.
