The AR-15 is probably the most popular firearm design in the United States. From sporting, target shooting, hunting, to self defense, the platform has been a hit with the American populace since its introduction. I have lost count of how many AR-15s I've shot, but I have compiled a basic list of some of my favorites.
Now, this is not to say that these are the only brands or models that are good. There are many good AR-15s on the market, and I have not shot every single one. This is a sliding-scale list, from inexpensive to very expensive, of AR-15s that I have put thousands of rounds through, and I trust that they will last and hold up.
With options at a range of price points, there's an AR here to fit your budget. I’m not saying these are the only good AR-15s at these price points, but I have had excellent experiences with all of them. I've highlighted a few of my top picks in the video below:
